Outlook 2007: Direct Replies to a New Message

There are times that it is useful for replies to a mail message to be directed to another email address or person. This makes it easier to delegate responses to someone else. To direct the replies to your message, follow these steps:

1. Create a new message as you normally do.

2. From the Ribbon, select the Options tab.

3. In the More Options section, click Direct Replies To.

4. The Message Options window will appear.

5. Under Delivery Options, make sure that the Have replies sent to check box is checked. Input the email address that replies are to be sent to or click the Select Names button to select the person from your contacts.

6. Click Close.

7. Verify your email is ready to send.

8. Click Send.

The replies to this email will now be directed to the chosen email address.
