How To Copy Excel Column Widths

The Format Painter in Excel does more than just allowing you to copy cell formatting. You can also use the Format Painter to copy column widths in a worksheet. To do this, do the following:


1. Click the letter of the column whose width you want to copy (in the column header)
2. Double-click the Format Painter button
3. Click or drag your pointer through the letters of the columns that need to be the same width
4. Click the Format Painter
