Windows XP: Place Wallpaper at an Exact X,Y Position on the Desktop

You can overcome the limited options that Windows gives you for the placement of your desktop wallpaper (center or tile).
With this setting you can move the image to an exact X,Y location on your desktop.

1. Click Start, Run, and type regedit. Then click OK to start the regedit utility.

2. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.

3, Create two new STRING values of Wallpaperoriginx and Wallpaperoriginy. If the values already exist, then you simply modify them.

4. Set the value of Wallpaperoriginx to equal the horizontal offset, and set the value of Wallpaperoriginy to equal the vertical offset. The offset is from the center of the desktop, so values can be positive and/or negative.

5. Reboot your PC to see the changes.
