Android: How to Access Common Emoticons from the Messaging (SMS) Keyboard
Posted by Rob Rogers in Android
Instead of having to type out your emoticons, you can use the Messaging keyboard to access these symbols directly for easy insertion.
1. When you are ready to insert an emoticon into your SMS message, access the emoticon popup window by longpressing the emoticon key.
![]()
2. A small window will pop up, allowing you to select the desired emoticon.
![]()
Once selected, you return to the keyboard.
