Vista: Stop the start menu from logging your recently opened programs and files

0
484

This prevents the display of recently opened programs and documents in your start menu.

Simple modification:

right click on the task bar and select properties

choose the start menu tab

now uncheck the following two options:

“Store and display a list of recently opened files”
“Store and display a list of recently opened programs”

press OK to apply these settings and your privacy is that much more secure.

*Side note:
Vista still has issues, but i like where MS is going with this new OS.
