Make the TiVo play bar disappear quickly

When watching live tv or a recording, using the playback features like pause, instant replay, fast forward and rewind cause the play bar to be displayed on the screen. Once play resumes, this bar stays on screen for a few seconds sometimes obscuring important stuff on screen.

A simple code causes the TiVo play bar to disappear quickly when resuming play. To enable this mode, press the following remote control buttons while you are watching a recorded show:

Select Play Select Pause Select

Entering the code again will turn off this feature.

Actually when the bar is on the screen and you won't it gone all you have to do is press play and it will immediately disappear. Of course, if you don't want to press play to get rid of it, you can do the code above. Just make sure to do the code again if you lose power on TIVO or software update, etc... The code and thus the function will be gone.

actually, pressing the clear button will remove it equally well
