ScreenFlow: Export HD Quality to YouTube
When creating screencasts for youtube, I create, export and upload all in HD quality. These are the settings that I have found to create high quality youtube videos once exported out of ScreenFlow.
Export your screenflow video in HD:
1. Click File -> Export
2. Select Your Save Name and Location
3. Click the Customize button

4. Set the following:
- Settings –
Compression Type must be H.264
Make sure Data Rate is Automatic
I would slide Compressor Quality to Best as well.
Click OK

Filter –
All should be off. Be sure None is selected.
Size —
Dimensions should be set to 1280 X 720 HD
Sound –
Format: AAC
Rate: 44.100 kHz
Quality: Better or Best
Target Bit Rate: 192kbps

5. Now return to the main export menu by pressing OK
6. Under Dimensions set width to 1280 and height to 720. (You can see this on the first image posted above if you need a screenshot.)
7. Press the Export button and wait a while.
8. Upload the video through the YouTube web interface.

Nice help. But if you have a MacBook 13″ you have 1280×800 and this will sqeeze or crop the video. Better you use also a 1280×720 canvas
