Winamp 5: How To Control Multimedia Playback from the System Tray

Winamp comes with built-in funtionality that allows you to place icons on your Windows taskbar to control multimedia playback. To enable this:

1. Right-click on the Winamp title bar, select Options.

2. Select Preferences.

3. In the Winamp Preferences dialog box, select General Purpose under Plug-ins.

4. In the right pane, select Nullsoft Tray Control.

5. In the Nullsoft Tray Control dialog box, place checks next to the icons you want on your Taskbar (Play/Pause, Previous and Next Track, Open File and Stop).

6. Click OK.

7. Click Close.
