Windows Live Messenger 2011: How to Disable Notifications

Sometimes the notifications from Windows Live Messenger can becom overwhelming, especially if you use it for chatting with your Facebook friends. Each time a friend signs in, you will be notified. You can disable some or all notifications and stop the interuptions.

1. Open Windows Live Messenger.

2. Click on your name at the top of the application and select More Options from the resulting menu. You can also press the Alt key (to unhide the menu bar) and go to Tools and select Options.

3. In the left pane of the Options window, select Notifications.

4. Uncheck all notifications that you want to disable.

5. Click the OK button.
