Manipulating windows services can be fun but can make a system extremely unstable. This recipe describes the default settings for these services.

Here's the generic list I keep as a text file to remind me of the default settings.

    1. Goto the Start Menu
    2. Select Run
    3. Open services.msc and select OK
    4. Services will open. Select the Help Menu
    5. Select Help Topics
    6. The Help Window will open. Click the + sign beside Services
    7. Click the + sign beside Concepts
    8. Click Default settings for services
