Android: How to Set Notification Volume Separately From Incoming Call Volume
Posted by Rob Rogers in Android
By default, the volume for your notifications is dependent on the set volume for incoming calls. If you need your notifications to be at a softer (or louder) volume than that, you can set it to be independent of the incoming call volume.
1. Go to the Home screen.
2. Select the Menu key.
3. Select Settings.

4. Select Sound & display.

5. Select Ringer volume.

6. Uncheck the Use incoming call volume for notifications checkbox.

7. Use the Notification volume slider control to the desired volume level.

8. Tap the OK button.
