If you have set the default application for a file type of action and wish to change it to another application, you will find that the solution is not very apparent. By following these steps, you can easily clear the defaults for an application so that you can choose a new default application.

1. Go to the Home screen.

2. Select the Menu key.

3. Select Settings.

4. Select Applications.

5. Select Manage applications.

6. Select the application that you wish to clear the defaults for.

7. Scroll down to the Launch by default section and select the Clear defaults button.

The next time you open the filetype or action that launched the above application by default, you will be prompted to select a default application.

No use as this button is grey-out for almost all applications…
