Cisco Unity Unified Messages Do Not Work in Blackberry or Windows Mobile

By default, Cisco Unity Unified messages don’t work in Blackberry or windows mobile devices. Here’s how to make it work.

In the Cisco Unity Tools, open “audio management tools”, then run the “Set record format” utility.

Pull down the “format”, and choose PCM. Click OK, then restart Unity.

Now, voicemail will be stored in the PCM format, which is understood by the media player in Windows Mobile and Blackberry.

The downside is messages will increase in size, but, it will keep all the Blackberry and Windows Mobile users happy.
