Use Wolfram Alpha to Generate Your QR Codes and Barcodes

Wolfram Alpha is an answer engine that is great for accessing all kinds of information including statistics and data analysis, socioeconomic data, mathematics, science, etc. Did you know that you can also use Wolfram Alpha to generate QR Codes and Bar Codes for your own personal use?

To generate your QR Code:

1. Go to Wolfram Alpha.

2. In the search box, input the following:
qr code for tech-recipes.com

Replace tech-recipes.com with the information you wish to place in the QR Code (URL, email address, name, product, etc.).

3. Click the = button or press the ENTER button on your keyboard.

4. Your QR Code will be generated.

5. To save the image, you can right-click the generated QR Code and select Save Image or you can mouse-over the image, then mouse-over the folded corner that appears and click the Save as Image link that appears.

To generate your Bar Code:

1. Go to Wolfram Alpha.

2. In the search box, input the following:
barcode tech-recipes.com

Replace tech-recipes.com with the information you wish to place in the Bar Code (URL, email address, name, product, etc.).

3. Click the = button or press the ENTER button on your keyboard.

4. Your Bar Code will be generated.

Select the desired font (Code 128, Code 93, or Code 39) and save your image by right-clicking the image and selecting Save Image or you can mouse-over the image, then mouse-over the folded corner that appears and click the Save as Image link that appears.
