Using a specificially crafted url, you can use your RSS feeder to subscribe to yahoo search results.

Google allows you to subscribe to search results through RSS. Why not do the same thing through Yahoo?

This is the format of the subscription URL:
http://api.search.yahoo.com/WebSearchService/rss/webSearch.xml?appid=yahoosearchwebrss&query=searchterm

Where searchterm is the item which you want to receive search results regarding.

For example, if you would like to subscribe to the top search terms for tech-recipes, the url would be
RSS Subscribe to “tech-recipes” as search term

http://api.search.yahoo.com/WebSearchService/rss/webSearch.xml?appid=yahoosearchwebrss&query=tech-recipes

Pretty boring, but it’s just an example.

This is very valuable for webmasters looking to follow the popularity and ranking of specific search terms.
