Windows 7: How to pin a folder to the taskbar

In Windows 7, when you pin your frequently used folder to the taskbar, the folder will be pinned the Explorer’s jump list instead. This tutorial will show you how to bypass the Explorer’s jump list and actually pin your folder directly to the taskbar.

 

Windows 7: Prevent themes from changing icons and mouse cursors

Firefox: Show tabs preview in Windows 7 taskbar

By default, when you hover your mouse over the Firefox icon in the Windows 7 taskbar, it will only display a thumbnail of the current tab regardless how many tabs you have open at the time. Windows 7: Hide recent search terms in Explorer’s search box

In Windows 7, when you start typing in Explorer’s search box, a small suggestion box which contains recent search term will appear. Although this feature can help you quickly access what you have searched for in the past, it can also cause embarrassing situations when other users on the computer access  the search terms. To prevent this from happening, you can disable the suggestion box.

Windows 7: Never show file thumbnails
