Google Nexus One : Quickly add an Application shortcut to Homescreen

This recipe explains how to add an Application shortcut to your Homescreen from within the Applications list area. Normally you can add widgets/shortcuts/change the wallpaper by tapping and holding on the Homescreen, this recipe gives you a quicker and alternative way to do this.

1. Go to your Applications list

2. Tap and Hold on the Application you want to make a shortcut of.

3. It will close the Application list and bring you to your Homescreen, w/the shortcut already movable. Move the shortcut to the pane/area of your choice and once you release the icon it will stay on your Homescreen.
