By pinning the Control Panel to the Taskbar, you can use its Jump List to easily access the various control options such as Administrative Tools, Devices and Printers, System, etc. By eliminating the necessity to open the Control Panel to get to these, you save precious time.

1. Click the Orb (Start Button).

2. Select Control Panel.

3. Go to the Task Bar and right-click on the Control Panel icon.

4. Select Pin this program to the taskbar.

5. You will see a list of recently opened control panel apps. Mouseover the desired apps and press the thumbtack icon to pin the app to the list.

Now, anytime you need to access these, simply right-click the Control Panel icon and use the Jump List to access the desired control panel app.

I have no “pin this program to taskbar” choice in Win 7 32 bit when I right click. Only choices are Open and Shwo on Desktop.

Thank you – real handy, although my taskbar is starting to get crowed – time to use small icons.
