This recipe shows how to remove that annoying instant search prompt from Outlook 2007.

In Outlook 2007, go to Tools > Options > Other tab

Click on the Advanced Options button.

uncheck the "Show prompts for Instant Search" and then click OK on the screens.

Voila! no more annoying instant search prompts!
