How to Hack Bebo to Download Free Music

Posted December 18, 2006 by Rob Rogers in Internet

Bebo is a social networking site that lists thousands of groups and artists with profiles and, better yet, streaming music to listen to. You can download these songs with ease and then place them on your iPod or Zune. Here’s how to download the free music:

1. Create a Bebo account at http://www.bebo.com/.

2. Login to your account.

3. Click the Bands tab at the top of the web page.

4. Find a band’s profile that you wish to download from.

5. Once on the band’s profile page, right-click on the page and select View Source.

6. The source code of the web page should be presented in Notepad (if not, you can copy and paste it into Notepad).

7. Hold down the Ctrl+F keys or click Edit and select Find.

8. In the Find dialog box, type getPlayer(escape(‘.

9. The address that follows the searched for text will be the address of the mp3 file. (from the http:// to the .mp3)

10. Copy the complete address into a new window of your browser and save the file to your computer.

11. While the mp3 tags will be correct, the file itself will have a numeric file name. Change the filename so that it makes better sense.
