If you inadvertently add the same holidays to your Calendar more than once, it can not only look rather messy, but also take attention away from other important events you might have on those days. While you could remove them by taking the time to delete each one, there is a much quicker method to force your Calendar to celebrate the holidays only once per event.
Ah yes, a new Blackberry from Verizon that promises to be a true “global” phone in that it has both GSM and CDMA radios. Add to that a much sexier design and the pearl scroller and you get the new 8830e from Verizon. So, does the 8830 live up to the Blackberry name or does it fail? Lets find out!
If you are working on a presentation that will be part of a bigger presentation, it doesn’t always work out well to use the default slide numbering in PowerPoint. Let’s say that your boss wants you to prepare 15 slides that are to be included in a major presentation. Your slides will be numbers 10-25. If you use the default, then your slides will be numbered 1-15, making it rather confusing if the boss wants you to change slide number 12. Does he mean his slide 12 or your slide 12? Trying to keep track of all your meetings and events can be a struggle. This gives you a simple listing of your appointments and such that you can print out or easily access.
If you are wanting to personalize your N800, one of the first things you will want to do is to change the background. You can either use a solid colored background with no image or your favorite digital photo, wallpaper, texture or tile.
By default, Outlooks AutoPreview is set to No Preview. This will give the Inbox the stereotypical look where the sender, subject, and date are shown. I much prefer setting AutoPreview to the Preview Unread Items setting. I like that I can easily scan my Inbox and get a better feel if an email needs my immediate attention. A side effect of using this setting is that your unread items will standout from the rest and will be easier to focus on (which is why I don’t set AutoPreview to Preview all items, then they would all look the same once again).

One of the new features in OS X 10.5 is the ability to display a Mosaic screen saver from a group of pictures. The mosaic feature can be difficult to find. Here is how to enable it.
Mac OS X version 10.5 introduces Spaces, virtual workspaces that allow you to organize your applications into less cluttered desktops. I’ve always been a fan of the concept, and Apple’s implementation is the best I’ve used. While the idea of Spaces is to separate application windows into separate workspaces, there are a few apps that I’d like to live in every Space. This recipe describes making an application visible on all Spaces.
