XP: Display Volume Icon in the System Tray

By default Xp does not show the volume icon in the system tray. This explains how to display it.
If you have category view of the control panel enabled:
1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices
4. Click Change the speaker settings
5. Click Place volume icon in the taskbar
6. Click OK
If you have the classic view of the control panel enabled:
1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Double-click Sounds and Audio Devices
4. Click Place volume icon in the taskbar
5. Click OK
