If you want to maximize the viewable area when using the web browser in full-screen mode, you can hide the toolbar. This comes in very handy if you primarily utilize the full-screen mode for certain frequently used applications (such as Gmail).

1. Open your web browser in Normal mode. Select the downward pointing arrow in the upper left corner.

2. Select View, followed by Show toolbar. Select Full screen to toggle the setting to an unchecked value.

3. Now put the device into full-screen mode. The toolbar will be hidden, giving you access to the total viewing area.
