Many MacBooks have the ability to burn fat dual layer DVDs. Before you go buying expensive dual layer media, here is how to see if your laptop is dual layer capable.

Dual layer DVDs allow the user to burn almost twice as my information as single layer DVDs. Here is how to see if your apple laptop has this ability.

1. In Finder, goto you Applications folder
2. Then click on your Utilities folder
3. Click System Profiler
4. Under the Hardware section, select Disc Burning
5. Under the DVD-Write section, you should see +R DL if you can do dual layer burns.
