Add-Ons and ActiveX plugins can really expand IE7's abilities. However, these added features are more likely to contain bugs and cause the browser to crash. Here is how to remove or disable these once they are installed.

1. Click the Tools button

2. Click Manage Add-ons

3. Select Enable or Disable Add-ons

4. Under the Show drop down box and select:

Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer

5. After selecting an option, click the Delete or Disable button based on your wishes.

Note: If the Delete button is grayed out, it means that it cannot be deleted but all items will always be able to be disabled.

(Otherwise, add-ons and many plugins can be removed from the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel.)

6. Press OK and restart your browser
