If windows media player (WMP) no longer plays your music or video files, you have lost the file associations for Windows Media Player. Here are the directions to reset them...

To reset the file associations to WMP:

    1. Open Windows Media Player.

    2. Select Tools | Options.

    3. Click the File Types tab.

    4. Click Select All.

    5. Click Apply.

    6. Click OK.
