WHS Beta: Access Control Panel

In testing windows home server beta, tweaking the hardware is required. However, the server hides the control panel from easy view. Here is how to access it.

Windows Home Server (WHS) will come preinstalled on hardware; therefore, the typical need to access the control panel will not exist.

However, the beta version of this server software will run on a ton of hardware so tweaking things from the control panel is essential.

Open the Control Panel from the Run Box:

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type in control
4. Press Enter

Create a Shortcut to the Control Panel:

1. Right-click on a blank area of the desktop
2. Select New
3. Select Shortcut
4. Paste this in: %windir%\system32\control.exe
5. Name it Control Panel
6. Finish

You can drag the shortcut into the start menu if you wish.
