OpenOffice.org Calc: Print Row and/or Column Headings on Every Page

In large spreadsheets, it is quite useful to include the columns and/or row headings on each page so that the user of the document can easily find the data they are looking for without having to refer to the first page to locate the proper headings.

1. Click Format.

2. Mouseover Print Ranges and select Edit.

3. To print row headings on each page, click in the Rows to repeat textbox then select the cells in the spreadsheet. To print column headings click in the Columns to repeat textbox then select the cells in the spreadsheet.

4. Click OK.

I get an “invalid sheet reference” when I try this – the end result of “select the cells in the spreadsheet” is an entry such as $A:$H. What could be wrong?
