Windows 7: Create a Bootable System Repair Disc

By creating a repair disc, you have a useful tool that can be used to boot your computer when disaster strikes. It contains system recovery tools to help recover from serious errors or restore your PC from a system image.

1. Open the Control Panel.

2. Under System and Security, select Back up your computer.

3. On the left side, select Create a system repair disc.

4. Select the desired drive from the dropdown.

5. Insert a blank DVD into the assigned drive.

6. Click the Create disc button.

Label your DVD and store it in a safe place so that you have quick access to it when you run into problems.
