The Wi-Fi Sleep Policy is for setting when the device will switch from Wi-Fi to the mobile data connection. By default, it is set to switch when the screen turns off. You can modify this setting to keep the wireless connection switched on while the device is plugged in, or even select to never switch to the mobile data connection.

1. Go to the Home screen.

2. Select the Menu key.

3. Select Settings.

4. Select Wireless & networks.

5. Select Wi-Fi settings.

6. Select the Menu key.

7. Select Advanced.

8, Select Wi-Fi sleep policy.

9, Choose the desired option. Choices are:

When screen turns off
Never when plugged in
Never
