Determine the CD-ROM Device Target ID in Solaris

Different Sun platforms have different default device targets for the CD-ROM drive. This simple command will display the drives in the system and allow you to easily determine the CD-ROM target id.
Run the command:
iostat -En
In the output, the description of the product usually contains CD. In the following example output, the CD-ROM target id is c0t3d0:
c0t2d0 Soft Errors: 0 Hard Errors: 0 Transport Errors: 0
Model: ST340014A Revision: 3.04 Serial No: 5JX5DHHF
Size: 40.02GB <40018206720 bytes>
