Corel PHOTO-PAINT: Change the Default Units of Measure

By default, PHOTO-PAINT uses inches as the default measurement unit. This is used for functions such as creating new images and resampling images to a different size. I do a great deal of work on graphics for use in web pages and prefer pixels as the unit of measure and don’t want to have to constantly change the unit when I’m working on new graphics. To change the default, follow these steps:

1. Click Tools and select Options.

2. In the left pane, expand Workspace and select General.

3. In the right pane, use the Units dropdown to select the desired unit of measure. (Choices are inches, millimeters, picas, points, centimeters, pixels, ciceros, didots)

4. click OK.

Now when you use functions that require the unit of measure, such as creating a new image, PHOTO-PAINT will use the new default.
