Google has plugged everybody into Google Talk from their gmail interface. However, a lot of people who use gmail, don't want Google Talk displayed within gmail. Here's how to turn it off.

Getting google talk out of gmail is not tough. However, google has just made it difficult to find.

Scroll down to the very bottom of gmail after you log in. You should see the standard view without chat link. Click it and you are set.
