Click the wrong icon and having to wait for one Office app to finish loading so that you can close it and open the one you meant to? Office 2010 allows you to Cancel the Office applications on load.

After you have clicked the shortcut to open the application, the splash screen for the application will be displayed while the program loads. If you wish to stop the application from loading, click Cancel in the lower right corner of the splash screen.

The application will close and now you can go open the one you meant to.
