Turn off the Display of Startup, Shutdown, Logon, and Logoff Messages

Reghack to display these common status messages.

    1. Click Start
    2. Click Run
    3. In the textbox type regedit and click OK
    4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
    5. Click the Edit Menu
    6. Select New and DWORD value
    7. Select this new entry and name it: DisableStatusMessages
    5. Double-click this entry
    6. Set value data to 1
    7. Click OK
    8. Close regedit and reboot
