Google Toolbar: Remove the New Enable Desktop Search Button Advertisement

I love the google toolbar. I hate that they are placing ads to Google Desktop Search on it without asking. Here’s how to remove that big fat NEW button.

You lookup and see that multicolored spiral on the google toolbar? Yes, google is pushing their products on the toolbar. Here’s how to disable it.

1. Click on the spiral Enable Google Toolbar button
2. toolbar.google.com will open
3. Select the No Thanks link
4. The button will be gone

I tried to figure out the registry changes that this made; however, it doesn’t get much more simple that these directions.

Does this bother you that google is placing ads on its toolbar?
