Back Up and Restore Internet Explorer Favorites or Bookmarks

For most users, items saved as IE Favorites are indispensable. If you were to lose them, you would lose valuable information that would be difficult to replace. Here is how to back them up and restore them so that you never have to face such a dilemma.

I back up and restore my Internet Explorer Favorites to all the computers I routinely use.

If your computer were to crash, are you worried about losing all your bookmarks? Would you like to export your IE Favorites so that you can keep them on an USB drive to use at any time on any computer anywhere?

How to Export or Back Up Your Favorites:

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click File menu.
    3. Select Import and Export.
    4. Click Next.
    5. Select Export Favorites.
    6. Click Next.
    7. Select the folder to backup. Select Favorites if you wish to save them all.
    8. Select Export to File or Address.
