The fastest page is a blank page. Here’s how to set Internet Explorer’s home page to a blank page.

I must open a million IE windows a day. If each of these episodes take a few seconds to load, then I have lost a ton of time.

If you want IE’s home page to be blank…

    1. Open IE
    2. Click Tools menu
    3. Click Internet Options
    4. Click General tab
    5. Under the Home Page section click the Use Blank button
    6. Click OK

If you want a seperate shortcut to open IE to a blank page…

    1. Right click on a blank section of desktop
    2. Select New
    3. Select Shortcut
    4. In the textbox place the following:
    "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" -nohome

    5. Click the Next button
    6. Name it (IE blank, for example)
    7. Click Finish

Clicking this shortcut will always open IE to a blank page.
