How to Add a Webfeed (RSS/XML) Feed in Windows

You see all these buttons regarding RSS / XML feeds. How the heck do you get these guys into your news aggregator?


So you’ve read about RSS aggregator…

how do you get feeds from the web site and into your aggregator?

This is a little difficult to walk through since there are so many different software packages and web site aggregators out there. However, these basic tips will work in almost every situation.

    1. Right click on the feed link or XML/RSS button for the feed you want to aggregate
    2. If you are using IE, select Copy Shortcut from the context menu.
    . (If you are using firefox/mozilla, select Copy Link Location from the context menu)
    3. Navigate to your web aggregator or open your software aggregator
    4. Select the New Feed option
    5. Right click in the new feed textbox and select Paste
    6. The feed should be loaded and saved for you.
