How to Add a Web Feed (RSS/XML) in Windows

The following Tech-Recipes tutorial describes how to get RSS/XML feeds into your news aggregator.

You have read about RSS aggregators. Now, you are ready to get feeds from the website into your aggregator.

Since there are so many different software packages and website aggregators available, this can be difficult to walk through. However, these basic tips will work in almost every situation.

1. Right-click on the feed link or XML/RSS button for the feed you want to aggregate.
2. If you are using IE, select Copy Shortcut from the context menu.
(If you are using Firefox/Mozilla, select Copy Link Location from the context menu.)
3. Navigate to your web aggregator, or open your software aggregator.
4. Select the New Feed option.
5. Right-click in the New feed textbox, and select Paste.
6. The feed should be loaded and saved for you.
