Bing: Find MP3s, OGGs, WMAs and Other Free Music Files

Bing can be used to find free, unprotected music files. Use the new power of Bing!

This is a well known trick for other search engines. Now, searching for open directories of free music is possible using Bing with the addition of some new search options.

Plus, this finds some files that other search engines miss which means more music!

Here is an example:

Bing: intitle:”index of” -inurl:.htm -inurl:.html contains:(mp3 wma ogg) “last modified”

The inurl, intitle, and “last modified” tags attempt to only find open directories.

The minus inurl additions may not help much. I can find basically the same searches without them.

The contains tag only includes pages that actually contain these files.

Of course, add a title or an artist name to focus your search to whatever you are seeking.
