Run Network Diagnostics on Windows to Debug Your Connections

Are you having network issues? Microsoft’s Network Diagnostic Tool will help you debug and fix your network issues.


The quickest way to start debugging you network connection is to run the Network Diagnostic Tool. This tool scans your system to gather information regarding your network, which includes hardware, software, and your various connections.

The only problem with the tool is that it is difficult to find. Fortunately, you can locate it through the various Help menus.

Use the following steps to run the Network Diagnostic Tool:

    1. Click Start.
    2. Click Run.
    3. Type netsh diag gui
    4. Click OK.
    5. When the tool opens, click Scan Your System.
