Slashdot posted a rumor that Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger for x86 was leaked. Soon, slashdot citizens were running to the torrent sites looking for the download.

Multiple fake iso files and other collections have been found thus far. People posting fake screenshots are getting into the action as well.

So far… no public (torrents/newsgroups) posting of this rumored release exists. Sure we may all want one, but tough!

Likely, this installation was not released, and apple has no reason to leak it. Apple makes money on hardware, not software. If they wanted to convert people over, they would just make a live CD/DVD version instead.

Even if this installation package was released, it is likely designed to work on only very specific x86 hardware.

I’m listing the most common (and believable) release below. It’s from the slashdot trolls, and contains nothing but repeated text.

    yea, im gonna install a 2.8 gigabyte operating system on a 1 gig drive, and on a 133mhz pc.
