XP: After installation of Steganos Security Suite, the Context Menu is Slow

Windows XP Pro – After instaling Steganos Security Suite, the Context (right-click) menu became very slow. Here’s the work-around.

To repair it I removed the following keys from the registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Steganos Security Suite 7

and:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Steganos Security Suite 7

After removing these two keys from the registery, the Context Menu (right mouse click) started to work normally. Before this fix it would take almost 10 second to open.

Editor note:
Users have been complaining about context menu problems more and more since SP2 has been released. Deleting the context menu handlers (as in this case) seems to fix the issue.
