Hacks to Beat Rapidshare Download Limits and Waiting Time

Tagged: Internet Here are some hints to help you more efficiently use rapidshare. Skipping waiting time and bypassing download limits are rapidshare hacks that everybody should know. These tips have been retested and continue to work well. Updated Oct, 2010.
Rapidshare has been an excellent tool for sharing large files. Recently users have discovered ways of bypassing the download limits and skipping waiting times.
Several readers have emailed recently (Oct 2010) that these methods continue to work well.
Update: Two new methods of bypassing download limits have been posted. These are more advanced and may require additional software or hardware, but you should check them out when you are done with these easier methods:
RapidShare: NIC tricks and MAC cloning to bypass download limit
Rapidshare traces the users IP address to limit each user to a certain amount of downloading per day. To get around this, you need to show the rapidshare server a different IP address.
Here are some methods for doing this:
1. Short-Out the JavaScript:
- 1. Goto the page you want to download
2. Select FREE button
3. In the address bar put the following: javascript:alert(c=0)
4. Click OK
5. Click OK to the pop-up box
6. Enter the captcha
7. Download Your File
2. Request a new IP address from your ISP server.
- Here’s how to do it in windows:
1. Click Start
2. Click run
3. In the run box type cmd.exe and click OK
4. When the command prompt opens type the following. ENTER after each new line.
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
exit 5. Erase your cookies in whatever browser you are using.
6. Try the rapidshare download again.
Frequently you will be assigned a new IP address when this happens. Sometime you will, sometimes you will not. If you are on a fixed IP address, this method will not work. To be honest, I do not know how to do this in linux/unix/etc. If this works for you, you may want to save the above commands into a batch file, and just run it when you need it.
3. Use a proxy with SwitchProxy and Firefox:
- 1. Download and install Firefox if you have not already
2. Download and install SwitchProxy
3. Google for free proxies
4. When you hit your download limit, clean your cookies and change your proxy
4. Use an anonymous service:
- Running your system through the tor network should in theory work; however, it is difficult to use and setup. Plus, you allow others to run their evil deeds through your system as well by using this system. Anonymizer 2005 is inexpensive, easy to use, but not free. Other pay services would likely work as well.
5. You can use a bookmarklet to stop your wait times:
- 1. Open IE
2. Right Click On This Link
3. Select Add to Favorites
4. Select Yes to the warning that the bookmark may be unsafe.
5. Name it “RapidShare No Wait”
6. Click on the Links folder (if you want to display it in your IE toolbar)
7. Click OK
8. You may need to close and reopen IE to see it
9. Goto rapidshare and click the bookmarklet when you are forced to wait

What that does is it disable your javascript limit, so either they got smart, or it won’t work for some people. It is not meant to reset the ip. If you’re refering to the 2nd one, that won’t work if your’s is a permanent ip address. Mine didn’t change either.

I have a really easy way to get a new IP adress, but it might not work for everyone. I shut down my pc, reset my modem, restart my computer and voilà. Of course, a reset switch must be accessible on your modem ( mine is extern)

If you are running on DSL broadband, just turn off and restart your ADSL box. Simple and easy. Any downloads of files will be terminated, but torrents automatically continue.

The flushdns actually works. I used it and I have wireless and it works perfectly fine. It gets you a new IP Address in a few seconds and you can continue downloading, using megavideo unlimited and so on.

just it is that it’s realy unnessesary paying (if u download one time each time).
if u have moltyple downloads over fe days u’d like to make , it might worth paying, but even so,
each time about 5 euro’s is getting a bit expensive..
plus, u’ll have to pay for games, softwares updates and so on, it sums even greater than buying a whole computer..
and what happens if u find a better tool?

1)Do javascript:var%20c=0 on your file
2) When it says, “The download cannot be provided. Please check, if your browser supports Javascript.” open a new tab
3) Copy the link of the file, for example -http://rs102tl.rapidshare.com/files/40398616/4814356/Brg_Crs_Gid.rar [The file that says the error]
4) Paste it on the new tab and a download should happen

There is another short cut way for unlimited download limit than which is already here is that , open the “control panel” and then open “Network Connections” . minimize it to the taskbar.
After the first one have been downloaded, right click on the “Local Area Connection” and chose option “Disable”. See that, it will again try connect with internet within 60 seconds and time span is shortening. then and then , again right click on the “Local Area Connection” and press the Enable button. after enabling within 2 to 3 seconds , click on the time limit button “Redial” in “Network connection” pop up and it will connect within 3 to 4 seconds . again go to the downlod page. your ip address has been changed. but afetr any download, during doing this technique cut the download page link or go to home back by back and back. But do not go to repair the connection. It will take a lot of time.
Using this one I am everyday downloading more than 1.2 GB.

Easiest and simplest way is to turn off your modem and switch back on. Rapidshare thinks you are a new IP address requesting a new file. It works EVERY time

Thats if you haven’t a static ip and besides it depends on your ip reset time. In some cases you may have to leave it off for 1/2 an hour to be given a new ip from your isp.
running cmd (command prompt) in admin mode is best and using the following;

I tried below in my static IP
After Pressing Free when timer start put following in address bar and press Enter

After that Download appears immediately
When you press download, It given error. “Javascript is disable”
Copy the link from address bar, open another tab and post the link over there. it start download for me. I tried it in IE 8.0

I traced the IP address that it said was downloading because it isn’t mine.
On the IP addresss tracers they correctly identify my IP address but rapid share only identifies the ISP’s IP address, in my case, BTintenet.
So i guess the dice are loaded to drive you to purchase a premium service when all you want is maybe one file a year…..if that since many downloads are available on alternative sites.

This does not work. Please read for more understanding. This does not eliminate the 15 minute wait. It will eliminate the 30 second wait. Follow the instructions below…
1. Click ‘free’ link button
2. when it tells you you have to wait and begins countdown… paste this in the URL address:
javascript:var%20c=0;
This turns off the java.
3. once pasted hit the enter key and then click the refresh button.
4. If you receive an error saying you might not have java… change the 0 to a 1, hit enter and click refresh.
That’s it… your download should begin…

Hey try this.
If your download tells you 15 mins., then follow me.
1. Ready your first download.
2. Make sure that you have your next download ready.
3. When the 1st one starts, start the second one.
4. It should tell you that you are still dling sumthin.
5. Wait for your 1st download to finish.
6. Once it’s done refresh the page where it says you are still downloading something.
7. Resend.
8. Your download is now ready!
9. Repeat from step 1 if you have more to download.
