Yes it did work thanks you.But now its saying this Newer version of quick time is already installed this this installation cannot procced while the newer version.So how do we get the newer version thanks a again.

When i download quick time and ts saying this not working to get my I tunes but it saying this the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that I’s unavailable. how we fix it to get back on I tunes. thanks!! Get me back soon thanks!!

I hate the two of it.. But, my sis has an iPod and need iTunes to connect to computer. and iTunes won’t run without QuickTime…sucks…

bohemianroast, i did the same thing with my quicktime, have u found a way to download quicktime with out losing downloads on your itunes. let me know, i would appreciate it.

If all you want is Quicktime, for whatever reason, do a search for “QuickTime Alternative” – you’ll thank yourself. None of that gigantic load of Apple doodoo.

There’s also a “Real Alternative,” but thankfully RealPlayer is nothing more than a bad dream now.

I deleted Quicktime to clear up memory, not realizing that it was needed for iTunes. I tried to reinstall iTunes, but after a long time waiting for the download to be complete, it failed. Presumably because I know longer have Quicktime.

Should I try to install Quicktime by itself, and then try reinstalling iTunes? Can I do them both simultaneously.

I conducted a short search on these questions and noticed that some sites mentioned an “Admin code.” Or something like that. I don’t know what that is. The failed download has be bummed. It took so long, and for nothing.

Does anyone have a remedy for me? One that can reinstall “hope” in my mind.

I put my mother-in-law on a Mac because it’s much simpler for her to use… but I wish Apple would make it easier for me to support her! Sometimes I’m not sure it’s worth the effort. She’s on dial-up, so we have to load up a stick with all the stand-alone installer updates before going to visit.

i agree totally. its 50meg diference in installation file size for a kick off. and your only going to uninstal itunes after so its pointless. cheers davek.

With all the Alternatives [sic] to Quicktime why bother with QT?
Actually, I was given a Shuffle so I need to opposite – iTunes without QT, but now A99le has turned the .msi installer into an exe so I can’t clear QT out using Orca beforehand.
Anyone know how to surgically modify the iTunes install?
