Two methods now exist for getting unprotected music from iTunes.

Recently an interface has been designed that allows one to download music files from iTMS without the DRM protection. The project is called PyMusique:

Once you have DRM protected files, you can remove them with JHymn:

Just a thought, would using a really old system (windows 95, media player 4, winamp 2) offer a way to convert these songs? surely windows 95 and software from that era cant distinguish between protected and non protected WMAs?
