You can disable autocomplete for web addresses, forms, or username/passwords.

I like autocomplete, but I have been shocked about how much information I discover in people’s autocomplete forms.

If you want to autocomplete surf, get on somebody’s computer and enter this into the IE address box:
http://www.a

You will likely see all the websites that they have visited that start with a. Continue through with each letter.

If you are security minded and always forget to clean out your autocomplete fields, this is how to turn it off completely.

    1. Click on Tools in the IE menu
    2. Select Internet Options
    3. Select the Content Tab
    4. Click the AutoComplete button
    5. Select the checkboxes you desire

Nice tip, but how do you delete the information stored? All someone has to to is go back and reselect the Autocomplete for web addresses and the information is still there no matter how may times you delete your browsing history.

I keep getting a pop up window that asks if I want to turn autocomplete on. How do I get rid of it?
