I was looking for a way of deleting only certain folders, like “My Videos” and keeping “My Pictures” and “My Documents” (and then later having some control over how My Pictures is presented…

This tip would remove all the My Documents features it seems, which is not quite what the title says

For the My Music folder, try going into the Options of WIndows Media Player, and go to the “Media Library” tab. Click the “Monitor Folders” button and remove the entry for My Music. Delete the My Music folder. Hopefully that will stop it coming back.

Thanks for posting this but I tried it and every time I open Windows Media Player 11, “My Pictures” and “My Music” folders are recreated. I don’t have my rip folders set to them so why do they keep getting created?
