First: Enable Find My iPhone

To be able to track people using iPhone, every device must have the granted access to the Find My iPhone app. To do that, follow the steps below:

How to Track People Using iPhone

Now that you have set up the Find My iPhone feature on the target devices, follow these steps to start tracking people using iPhone:

When you open the map, you will find all the device’s location on the same map. You can tap on the devices to view more information.
For the users who are below iOS 8 or don’t want to use the Find My iPhone app, WhatsApp comes to rescue for live location sharing. Just ask the other recipient to turn on live locations while heading out and you’ll be on their head.

Q: I have the Find My iPhone app on my iPhone but can’t locate the Family Sharing feature. Can you help me on this issue?
A: The Family Sharing feature is only available for iPhones running on iOS 8 and higher versions. If you are on iOS 7 or lower, you need to update your operating system. If your device does not support iOS 8, you need to get a newer device.

Q: I am not an iPhone user. Do I have an option?
A: You can use other tracking apps. We recommend WhatsApp’s live location feature to track your family members.

Q: Is tracking my friends and family members not illegal?
