RunAs a User on the Network

Posted August 25, 2004 by Lazyfanatic in Windows networking

The following tutorial describes running a program as a specific user on the network using RunAs.

To run a program as a specific user on the network, you can hold down Shift, right click on the file/program to execute, and then select RunAs. This will prompt you for a username and password.

This is useful for situations in which your policies prevent installation of software for a majority of users.
